Salvation Army Needs PCs

Printer-friendly versionPDF version

Two Indy Rotarians are hoping to find good uses PCs to benefit the Salvation Army's Technology Skills and Job Training program.  As you plan for upgrades at your office, remember that a PC that may no longer deliver the performance you may need, may be great for a job seeker who needs to learn how to use a word processor, e-mail or the Internet.

Bill Ervin has a long-standing relationship with the Salvation Army and knows how their program serve 1300-1400 unemployed and sheltered moms and their children each year.

Kim Brand knows  how to setup the PCs and networks, and is assisting with free software and IT Services.  Kim will assure that all the personal data left on your PC will be removed before donating it to the Salvation Army.
We can also use good LCD displays, printers with ink/toner cartridges and paper.

But please, only working PCs that have some life left in them.  Kim and Gregg Keesling are arranging another recycling event for non-working IT equipment to be announced soon.

If you have IT equipment to donate, just call Kim Brand, Computer Experts, 833-3000 and he will arrange to pick it up.
