As our 2013 committee begins finalizing ideas for our big birthday celebration, I came upon this story from our Rotary friends in Florida...

The Rotary Club of Winter Haven is celebrating recent additions to All Children's Rotary Park that make the park accessible to children with disabilities.

The club held a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the park Thursday. It commemorated almost a decade of planning on the part of the Rotary Club and the city of Winter Haven.

They added new playground equipment and new rubberized surfacing. They built a sidewalk with paver bricks commemorating Rotary members and past presidents. And this year, they plan to install a new sign with the park's new name: rather than simply Rotary Park, it will be called All Children's Rotary Park. Read more...
